Paragliding in the USA - Picture By Mitchell McAleer
July 2006, over Perris, California, approximately 9500 feet above sea level. That's stinking high, the cloud is about a mile away, maybe 500 feet higher, I'm looking east toward Palm Springs, lost in the haze. Summer here is stupid hot, easily 100 deg. F. this day. I remember the pants I wore were too short, leaving about 4 inches of my shins exposed to the sun above my socks, after more than two hours at this altitude, I experienced severe sunburn, red with purple spots, huge chunks of dead skin sloughing off for a couple weeks. It was worth it.
This shot was taken at the same location as the previous shot of the cloud, looking the other way, to the west. Visible is Lake Elsinore, the 15 freeway, lost in the haze is San Juan capistrano, Dana Point and the Pacific ocean. My house is at the bottom of the frame just left of center, near the small grove of trees. Launch is at 2800 above sea level(asl) just above the lake, on the opposite side, about in the middle of the lake. On this flight, I got to about 8000 asl over launch, crossed the lake, got down to under 500 ft agl just out of the frame in the lower right corner, then beamed out to here, flew back to the lake, then just wandered around until I got low and landed at home.
This is my friend Mike Estrada, about 5000 asl over the Elsinore ridge, looking south.
April 9 2006, about 6500 asl, surfing through the clouds. the peak in the distance is about 5800 asl, about 12 miles to the west. Cloud flying in paragliders is the coolest illegal thing to do. Paragliders, unlike hang gliders remain stable in the roll axis, and it's easy to climb and navigate in the clouds with a GPS.
Here's my lightly frosted hand after going up 1000+ feet inside the cloud, used the GPS to head east and pop out the side of the cloud and shoot back at the wall from well above cloudbase. I'm gonna get in trouble for publishing this, the Federal Aviation Administration will be sending goons to break my kneecaps.

Dog Sledding in Geilo, Norway - Pictures by RDX
These Dog Sledding pictures where taken by Brad Milner and Richard X in Geilo, Norway in March 2007
Speaking from previous dog sledding experience, if you ever get the chance to go, don’t let that chance go!
When the dogs know its time to go make sure your foot is pressed hard down on the brake, the dogs bark and yap with excitement and start to pull on the sled, then when your ready, release the brake and your away!
Whether it’s a short 1 hour ride or an 8 day expedition, the experience is not to be missed, it’s fantastic, you’ll love it and the dogs love it even more.

Skimboarding in Newquay, Cornwall, UK - pics by Rick
We thought a visit to Cornwall was going to prove fruitless when we arrived and found the surf was flat, then someone suggested skimboarding, 'what the hell is that?' we cried, well, after a quick explanation of chucking a flat piece of wood across a thin layer of water and jumping on to it while it was still moving, we said, 'how hard can that be?' well, the answer is, painful!
With a full day, a few busted knees, some bruised shoulders, butt cheeks and egos, it's a piece of cake! Well, maybe not but its still great fun! Soon we'll be progressing on to the better fibreglass boards and apparently it just gets easier and even more fun! Rock on!!
Got any great skimboarding pic's? Or any other extreme sports pictures for that matter. Send 'em in and we may put 'em on! (some text explaining who, how, where and when required with the pic's) Cheers, The Team.
